These unbleached cotton prefold cloths are an extremely economical option for those wishing to go back to basics with real nappies.
They have three pannels, with 4 layers of cotton twill in the outer panels, and 8 layers in the centre panel. The nappies can be folded along the panel seams to give a pad with a total of 16 layers of cotton, or folded across the seams to give maximum absorbency in the middle of the nappy, that sits underneath the baby where the absorbency may be most needed.

They come in packs of 6 in four sizes (though sizes Small (Size 1) and Large (Size 2) will suffice for most babies):

Newborn 30 x 33cm (12 x 13") before washing, suitable for babies 5 - 10lbs (2 - 4.5Kg)
Small (Size 1) 30 x 41cm (12 x 16") before washing, suitable for babies 7 - 15lbs (3 - 7Kg)
Medium 37 x 43cm (14.5 x 17") before washing, suitable for babies 12 - 25lbs (5.5 - 11Kg)
Large (Size 2) 37 x 53cm (14.5 x 21) before washing, suitable for babies 15 - 30lbs (7 - 14Kg)
